Rhodes defeated Averett and Augustana College on day two of the Emory Invitational, on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

The Lynx swept the Cougars of Averett in three straight sets (30-6, 30-22, 31-29). Outside Hitter Katherine Delavan led the Lynx with 8 kills, while Libero Laura Reilly had 4 service aces along with 9 digs. Sophomore setter Alex Nobel contributed 22 assists, 3 digs and 2 blocks.

In their final match of the tournament Rhodes defeated Augustana in four games (30-28, 24-30, 30-27, 30-21). Freshman Middle Blocker Stephanie Parazak led the Lynx with 14 kills while Katherine Delavan had 13 kills. Ally Squires, Kelsea Everett and Parazak combined for 13 of the teams 17 blocks during the match.

The Lynx improve to 4-5 overall and will next face Crichton College at Crichton September 10th.
